Is it difficult/impossible if you use only one bank account?

You can pay yourself a paycheck out of a company account, but then you have to pay payroll taxes...more than you would otherwise pay.

I am at the point where my current accountant is costing me money rather than making me money.

As mentioned, if you have your account at your current employer you are stuck with stocks, mutual funds, etc.If you can move to a self directed ira, YES you can invest with very little.

I've finally decided that I'm going to do whatever I can to get that first deal, starting with a little bit of accountability from posting to this forum.

update.my 3 unit cash out was cancelled by quicken loans. i give them no stars.90 days and $500 later to tell me they dont accept reserve money in dba account. i needed 2 months in personal savings. this after 10 other stupid red tape bait switch tactics. and 3 different loan officers all with varying degrees of knowledge.
