Workforce class C housing in NYC ranges from $50k -$200k+/door.Not sure what type of capital you have, patient or fund equity... however a lot of owners in NYC are basically buying the dirt and/or are buying as legacy assets and capitalize on the appreciation. 

@Brendan Connolly only you can make the determination whether or not you sell your current property and buy a higher quality asset or whether you should pay off your current property or look to borrow and increase your holdings.

I was under the impression that asset-based financing is expensive and hard to find. 

@Weston Couch I feel it is best to establish an LLC in order to separate personal assets from the business.

@Patrick Smith For asset protection reasons, I put the property in an LLC when I purchased it.
