I do know an agent/investor I could use if it seems that is the best way to go but I'd like to avoid paying commission.

If I get my real estate license and hang it with a broker in DE, would I still get the same benefits if purchasing/selling a property in a surrounding state (MLS access, commission, etc.)?

Many top realtors in our market are making 250 to over 1 million a year in commission with no risk  just hard work and putting time into their business that will be here for their entire career.. flippers come and go like the wind of West Texas

Hi All, Although I eventually plan to be much more involved as a real estate investor, my immediate need is for some advice on selling my home quickly FSBO and maximizing profit without paying a 5% commission (amounts to about $25,000 in my case).

And to be honest, the escrow agents aren't looking to dilute their earnings and commissions.  

If I can find a willing broker, may I start my own real estate company, hire the broker, then agree to a commission split for their services?

If the guy you are dealing with IS the employing broker, or is an independent broker, then you would call your state real estate commission.

Most experienced agents don't want to deal with these because they are focused on the bigger commissions.

Its in the agent's interest to get the highest price because their commission is based on the sales price .

I have talked to a property management company that says they will obtain a license for you and charge a 18% commission on all bookings.
