(Oh yeah, and get a 3% sellers' credit to cover the downpayment so you barely have to put a few dollars down hehe) Or turn them into condos and sell them for $500K+/apiece. http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/3039-Chestnut-St-Oakland-CA-94608/24740050_zpid/The Zillow estimate of $900K is wrong.

So, I don't want to talk myself out of asking either of them, if they'd consider selling, but it sure seems I'm finding this difficult on how to ask and have them work with me.I found lots of topics on buying homes here, through BP, but this is bare land.

Even if OPEC decides today to scale back production it would take many months for the existing supply glut to rebalance and another 6 months to restart the wells and find the necessary personnel to oversee them bare minimum.Lot rents are going to go down more before they come back up, and playing a timing game can make or break you.

I can't come up with a 3% lease option down payment for a $500k house, and I think a $500k deal would probably be bare minimum of what kind of house I would want around here, as far as I can tell.Any other ideas?

One will prob list around $300k, other around $220k and then the home I live in and am renovating now and would like to keep if I can afford to which will be tough due to massive $$ hits I took recently, will list for around $1.4M to $1.5M if I'm forced to sell, but that's ALL I want to do now, or at least $500k bare minimum and up and ONLY in A-1 prime residential locations.
