@Ed Mayo tax sales are becoming more well known as an investment vehicle because of the internet.

If people scare you or make you uncomfortable, then stocks, REITs, or some other vehicle is probably a better investment strategy.

I also ask number of vehicles and type (this may be regional but I sometimes get someone who has alot of extra vehicles). 

After all, a vehicle is USUALLY one the largest purchase a person makes aside from a house.

@Mark Seery use some of it as down payment on another house and possibly another chunk on buying into a syndication or other passive investment vehicle.

@Charles Fella the city has an ordinance prohibiting the storage of inoperative vehicles in public view.

Manufactured are considered depreciating assets because they are basically a vehicle rather than a house.

I had loaded all our stuff in the contract movers van and loaded the 2 kids, 3 cats into our vehicle and towed the camping pop up trailer hoping we would have a house to move into when we got to AZ from PA. 

Most lenders who will lend on a vehicle are not going to be giving you good terms... they are sort of right next to the payday loan 'sharks' out there.  

The remainder net proceeds will get divided up among the creditors- cards, vehicle loans, liens, medical bills..
