I had the understanding that rent is late after the 1st, but there is no late fee until the 5th (or whatever date the lease stipulates).

You should be able to qualify for an FHA (or FHA 203K) loan two-years after your discharge date as long as you show a solid employment history.

The only documents she forwarded to me (weeks later) were post dated rent checks and a copy of the lease.
