Make it a little less dry and a little more attractive to banks. 

On January 1 this year my well dried up, and because I was not collecting rent and bleeding money (not to mention earning about half as much income as I am used to Stateside) we borrowed money from my mom to replace the well ($10,000).

But the demand in my area has dried up.

I also expect that money will be hard to come by and will probably dry up quickly.As others have said, you just increase the rent.

Try to pick a date and time when you expect the weather to be mild and dry.

If NO basement, what is potential damage...proper extraction, sanitation, removal/drying of walls and trim, personal property, etc.

The units rent for $450-500, but I'm really getting bled dry here.

Spent the day pressure washing entire exterior of the house in preparation for contractor to being addressing dry rot issues as well as prepare for new paint.

It still can be a good time to buy, but, as in 08, financing is drying up.

I have put money into things like a necessary new deck, dry rot, new windows (they were only single pane), new flooring, retaining walls etc...just to keep it well maintained.
