Bahrain is a tiny Island in the Middle East and there have freehold property dealing allowed.

I'm a newbie also but would be interested; maybe other Long Island, New York, New Jersey BP members would be interest.

Did the Naples/Marco Island area suffer the same rate of foreclosures and crash as the Cape?  

I'm on Long Island (NY) and the absolute cheapest houses are 300K, I'm looking at a property 350K, that can rent for about 3200 a month.

, activities and places to eat, etc...When we spoke to several property managers on the island, just about all of them stated that they do not supply any shampoo or soaps as most guests will bring their own.  

So here is where the creativity comes into it, the name of the game is legal separation, that dosnt mean everything has to operate as an island it just means there must be separation like service contracts for "contract accounting" and "out sourced management".

@Paul Nicklin We live in Mililani (central Oahu), and it’s a great spot with reasonable rent at around $2k for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo, and it’s smack dab in the middle of the island.

Walk through the dining room into the brand new kitchen featuring all new white shaker cabinets, quartz counters, SS appliances, tile backsplash and a large island.

It just depends on where you want to buy.My best advice would be to look at maps of the Metro North, Long Island Railroad and New Jersey Transit and starting looking at towns on the train line that go into Manhattan.
