Hi @Jessica FrancoGreat to hear of your interest in property back home.From my experience (we own a company called KOURO here in South Africa) it really really depends on the strategy you hoping to focus on, the area, purchase price and what value you can add to that property - as discussed everywhere on BPWe do flips, multi-lets and now recently starting Developments.Our returns are really good and we give great returns to our hard money lenders of between 15-20%.We are quite happy and believe that the property market here, if bought right, will last through any down times.

I am very open to ideas and thoughts changing and not stuck on one particular area or strategy till I learn quite a bit more.

You really want to surround yourself with experts on every aspect of STR investing from insurance to financing, REI analysis, tax strategy, growth and marketing plans, etc... people who are good at this have teams of specialists guiding them.  

Look at their marketing strategy.

the way the multimillionaire do it is to delay and defer tax as much as possible, so after the accumulate so many loss then when you sell one for profit for example from flip/rent strategy, you could use it to offset the gain

To be honest, I moved my strategy to Florida so did not keep up on whether or not Stone Country voted to approve those two homes.
