Hi JD,An important factor which I don't see mentioned is is it a typical home on a typical site or would a complex fee apply. 

Like to hear from anyone who has owned/owns large complexes.

1Q16 is my target to purchase my first apt complex.

Mostly single family homes and larger apartment complexes, condos or town houses. 

But there are new roads and construction near by with new apt complex popping up each season.  

But now I'm starting to feel the need to understand the seemingly complex nature of all the RE options of financing and which path we go down.

There was a story about a complex on Main st. that new owners bought fully renovated the complex and the rents have gone from $750 a month to close too $2000 price range.

The series LLC is an idea whose time has come, particularly for real estate investors who can acquire multiple properties while avoiding complex structures with multiple entities.A series LLC allows an investor to hold assets and liabilities within separate cells or series which effectively operate as subcompanies.
