another good CA source that has come on the scene is Coventus out of SF   for the very well qualified borrowers.. and there simply is no denying that scammers work BP  its just a generic statement.. but if you like passive aggressive I can accept that.. as long as it saves some newbie from sending 500.00 to Jamaica

Being born and raised in the SF BAy AREA this strategy seems to have worked well for me.. but as you say SF is expensive.Pretty much every city has a up and coming area were things are changing resturants bars etc.. were you have chance of up side while the properties will pay for themselvesIn IndyFountain square  .. and BAtes Hendrix is coming on.In Charleston SCInner West side and Park Circle..

Deployments are great for stocking up a nice chunk of cash if you can avoid blowing it all on port calls (the inside of a bar in Thailand looks pretty similar to one in the States) and the inevitable post-deployment sports car buying spree (you'll see them sitting in the parking lot 3 months later when folks can't afford the payment, insurance, and gas).One of the hull managers (government civilian who manages shipyard repairs) I used to work with started out as a junior Hull Tech, saved like crazy so she could start investing, invested over the course of a 30 year career as she eventually pick up Warrant, and now has a multi-million dollar rental portfolio.
