He plans to move back to Texas in the next couple years but I keep telling him he needs to buy a home he can turn into a rental property when he leaves!

@Nando NachiYour budget will dictate where you buy in in the Seattle Market.Plenty of areas on the rise especially with low inventory.With Condo, keep in mind some HOAs will have to weight in on structural changes.When it comes to schools, most buyers laser in on the school district.

If you know you are going to keep this place for a while, getting into long term secure financing is advantageous.

Done a little of many things, I'm 24 and want to keep building my skills repairing homes as I feel there will be more of this work in the future.
