Some books I enjoyed include "The unofficial guide to real estate investing" (Kind of dry though) real estate riches by dolf de roos, and the ABC's of RE investing by ken mcelroyI have an audio CD thing from Robert Shemin which in my opinion is absolutely fantastic - especially with negotiation skills.

Small business lessons from the game such as trading deal cards between players etc will come handy in real life later.As far as Russ Whitney goes, I have never even looked into attending his seminars.His book "Building Wealth: From Rags to Riches Through Real Estate" has IMHO all the information that a beginner in real estate could ever use.

i want to start off with out of state duplexes, triplexes or quads for the first 3 or so years. then i would like to start buying apartment complexes or quads locally and eventually trade up to commercial properties and large apartment complexes.
