Although, I understand in this day and age a college degree is respected but not needed to be a successful entrepreneur - I am grateful for my journey thus far of attending classes, working corporate jobs, completing internships, and traveling for modeling which ultimately has helped me to see everything that I don't want my life to be like after graduation therefore I now have the understanding of what I do want and along the way, I have learned how to truly value the necessity of self education and mentorship to acquire the keys to success.

I travel to a lot of the smaller towns/cities around Edmonton with my work so I'm also looking at stuff a bit farther out where prices are lower but the cities are big enough to have a solid pool of renters.That sounds like a pretty attractive strategy.

For example, they can see your wiring diagram and know you plan on using the right sized breakers and will not overload them, you have GFCI in the proper locations, smoke alarms will be installed in all the proper rooms, etc.5.

And if the unit already smells of smoke, how will you prove if they are still smoking inside or not.Run it like a business and do what you have to do to protect your investment.

@Myo Thein suggest depending on value and equity either looking at other areas on BC to invest but by the time you travel, find something etc. it may have costed you thousands already.

I have to travel about 5 hours round trip to get to either, but I usually spend from $1K to $5K per trip.
