Plus, as was previously mentioned there could be all kinds of liens against the property that would need to be cleared before you could ever sell it.I own a few properties like this where I will likely never get clear title to it but I still legally own it and can rent it out so there are reasons why you might want to do it.But I would view this as a bit of an 'advanced strategy' that I would not recommend a newer or even intermediate investor try.If you are going to attempt it though I would suggest you go through exactly the same process a bank lender would do if there was one.
