There's apparently a "Texas Cash Out Refinance" which I don't know anything about, except that it reminds me of Texas Hold 'Em... like your interest rate on a cash out refinance in Texas is based on rolling a dice or getting dealt a good hand.

The deductible is a means for you to control the cost of insurance AND to remind you to avoid trivial claims.
