Just like most markets in America, STRs are returning to pre-Covid occupancy rates and most people have no experience what that looks like because they entered STR investing during and since COVID.

The main difference is that right now EV fires make the news, and are pesky to put out without that self same experience and special equipment (e.g. fire blankets).Connecting smoke detectors in the garage is a great idea: the reason that garages have traditionally had only heat sensors, no smoke detectors, was automotive fumes. 

House hacking will also give you some personal "property management" experience.

As mentioned earlier, I have very little experience but I am eager to learn and excited to go for it in 2024! 

But, I have experience in exterior home remodeling sales.

I have about 3 years of experience flipping and building houses, as well as an associates degree in a trade, about 2 years of drywall/paint experience, around 1 year of commercial/residential electric experience, and about 3 years of landscaping experience. 

I’d imagine experimenting with some texture could really make it look amazing.

They experience this just as if they owned the home and that is what they are signing up for.

The deals are harder to find in my experience but they exist.
