Hey nice to meet you all, I've been listening to the Bigger Pockets Podcast for a while now and I finally decided to make a profile on here and I am excited to get to know some like minded individuals and also learn from more experienced investors. 

Doing this more gradually will likely be less stressful and allow you to learn some lessons with less financial exposure.

You also have the "cost" of your time, which will vary a lot, especially as you ramp up while learning the STR ropes.  

Lessons learned?

Thankfully, we live nearby because that had a small learning curve, but now we can turn onto a street and almost know immediately.

When I went to clean the place after the previous tenant moved out, I learned real quick how bad it was.The worst part of it all was the stench.

Not only the management aspect they'd be providing but it would allow you an opportunity to "learn on the job" for when you plan on managing it yourself and also give you context for questions that you may have and someone to ask them to.
