@Benjamin CarverA good agent should be able to put you in touch with a good lender, contractor, and inspector they know of from other agents, or have worked with in the past.If you want to find a knowledgeable agent, go to REI meetups and network with other investors and they can also give you referrals on finding such individuals.

I know these types of things tend to vary by market, so wanted to better understand how this typically works in Raleigh/Durham.- Is it common for brokers to require exclusive buyer agreements (ie you promise to only work with them in the particular market) or do you go exclusive after a specific property is identified?
