A friend of mine told me about Venmos and said it's used a lot in CA for roommates to pay each other portion of utilities and bar tabs and other things like that.  

For my house, my property manager lets me know the details of the animal, breed,  sex, and size, then I make the decision whether or not to rent to them.I think the bigger issue is the integrity of the tenants.

Hi all,Can/Should a homeowner with housemates claim the income (rent) and a portion of expenses (landscape maintenance, cleaning service, utilities, home repairs) on taxes as a business expense, if it is the homeowner's primary residence?

Size and scope of operations needs to be considered.

She had a 1 month overlap between places, so she didn't actually move anything in--which makes that portion of it a non-issue.I would also like to hear from @Tyson Luthy on what options you provide.

The size being one of them for both resell and renting. 

More strategic questions about whether this property will enjoy some momentum or if there's a serious issue to address.Albany ( pronounced Awwwl binee) -  It's a good sized town but the economy isn't terribly diversified.  

The lender will factor the experience level and the size of the project into the equation.

However the large management co. would also have placed staff onsite due to the size of the property.

It is a decent size city (60K+ people) plus it is close to the mountains.
