Susan,The FHA loan in question is called the 203k loan---will set that aside because of your stated reservations (other then lead paint removal, all improvements that would be required by HUD would be for energy efficiency).

Does anyone have any experience with the different companies that offer this? I have found so many, and im trying to pick which one i want to try. Please let me know of any experiences you guys have had.

During stressful times its easy to let your emotions take control of your logic and that can lead to trouble.
