She was able to get the property back in her name by proving an illegal conveyance and because the mortgage note was in the name of the LLC, which had been allowed to dissolve involuntarily, there was nothing the bank could do to encumber her property again, since she was not the legal mortgage holder, the LLC was.Similarly, states like Illinois allow the formation of series LLCs, which is a group of LLCs which all share the same name and are designated by Roman numeral, I, II, etc.

The other thought is I could give them all control of the thermostat, leave it in the common area, and let them all collectively set the temp, but that seems like a recipe for war.

Hello All -I've run out of ideas on how to pursue the following 'stale' short sale in my neighborhood after hitting numerous dead ends, and thought I would see if any of you had experience/insights from other experiences, here are the main points:* Marketed in 2012 as a short sale, was pending but fell through* Shortly thereafter owners divorced, and one was sent to prison (still is in prison, and has declared bankruptcy).
