I am in the Rochester area and have been actively seeking my first property.

It is in a very small town (about a block long) and sits directly on a major thoroughfare through the area.

This was something that simply lacked pro-activity… It costed me more money to fix the copper pipes as well as the damages that had occurred to the property.

Most units are large with the majority measuring 10'x20.'

Fact is you are in the majority.

So from our point of view, a little depreciation wasn't a major concern.

I think it might take longer than they think, it feels like a majority of these properties are owned as rentals.

The coercive power of the state should only be used in cases of active harm in my opinion, and not being able to live in a particular place is not an active harm.There is another thread on BP Chicago on rent control already, by the way.
