Hey Joe, if you want to invest and get a potentially large tax deduction immediately, the best bet if you are not a REP and do not opt to invest in a STR is oil and gas investing.

I would think it would be a good destination year round - the back side used to be a not so much talked about area for big water fishing (warm currents - shark fishing, marlin fishing, etc.).I did spend a lot of time as a kid at Lake Isabella....my Dad and his best friend spent lots of time growing up there as well.
