Indeed, there's a huge opportunity cost as you have to encumber a US asset and you won't be able to tap the equity in your US property for another purpose in the future, while you won't be able to use your Mexican property as collateral.Even though it's not very common, you can, as a foreigner, get a mortgage from a bank in Mexico.

Before I knew it they were taking advantage of my kindness and have started doing spiteful things like parking his truck under the basketball goal he told my son he could use so he can't play because i don't have 5,000.00 dollars to cut a couple pines that are completely healthy becausethe wind uprooted and fell on his pole barn it barely damaged i told him i would help pay for repairs intill they sent me a bill for almost 6,000 dolars and told me they fixed it cheap and it still didnt look as good as it did before.
