I have been looking at 1 bedroom apartment for $30,000 that would only require around $5000 for rehab. 

My end goal is to invest in apartments for long term holds.I'm looking for other investors, wholesalers, and cash-buyers, in the Hampton or Newport News area that are interested in networking with me. 

That we want to clear up.We currently renting a 1 bedroom apartment with 1 son and another kid on the way.

I also debating if the property should be an apartment/townhouse or a SFH.

My fiancé and I currently have a 3 family in Albany,NY under contract and just recently had the inspection done.

But what does it mean for a home with a basement apartment or carriage house?

It's unnecessary and inefficient to have 50 SFR, just buy an apartment complex instead.

So, in my case, I absolutely need leases, security deposit info, and a professional inspection. 

Then use your inspection/walk-through to be able to confirm your estimates/needed repairs to make sure it will all work before you move forward.
