I agree that some areas of study have limited use, but there are fields that are essential to our standard of living that you cannot prepare for properly without a college degree (engineering, medical, physical sciences, etc.).

This is magnified through the fact that college degrees do not pay as much as they used to, making college education too expensive for the price being paid.

You could always finish out what sounds like a current degree and do Real Estate on the side until it was costing you money not doing it full time?
