If your accountant has used the strait line method there is nothing to worry about, but also nothing to "capture" on sale.

Usually that company is not going to talk to someone who is not on the account and can't provide a password.

Like, in Colorado, I believe you're allowed to keep a tenant's deposit in an interest-bearing account, but you couldn't say buy a car with it, obviously.
