Any advice and great opportunities for young veterans on getting started in the real estate business?

I think newbies that are looking to get into the buisness and looking for mentors should not forget to seek out homes with signs "for rent" these are alot of times veteran investors/landlords that can offer much needed guidance throughout the entire process.

I think the main difference between us is my veteran status - which means I get paid to go to school, on top of the money I get from work.

A couple of years ago at the Equity Trust conference an exec with them told how they photographed their child on the day of his birth and used the images for marketing.
