So, even though I own this home free and clear - and need very little to get it on the market and repay the loan - I seem to be out of luck.

It may seem overwhelming at first, but stick with it everyday and little by little you'll get to where you want to be.  

While spending $7500.00 on a property you may not buy may seem like a lot, the cost of buying a property like this "blind" could result in total loss of your investment and being on the hook for amount of the loan.  

And if their price seems high on other projects going forward, it's always good to compete the bid so they don't get too comfortable!

That leaves off-market deals, which seem to have the most opportunity to find deals that actually make sense. 

You do seem to be confused about the business that sponsors the plan and the investment activities of the plan.  

Seems like a silly thing to do, right?
