I think the wall units look cleaner but were not sure if they were as effective as the baseboard).On top of that was wondering if you would recommend the hydronic baseboard units or the standard convection heaters.I also noted your in NY are you using these to solely heat a house or as supplemental and do you feel they could adequately provide heat to a house in the NE during the dead of winter.

Based on my holdings in the area, I usually spend at least a few thousand a year in fixing things up (I usually get hit with at least 40% of rent for all non debt costs).

@William JenkinsDoesn't sound like you would use financing for the contemplated investment of retirements, but if you did it would need to be non-recourse (either via a Solo 401k or SDIRA) and if done via an IRA subject to Unrelated  Debt Finance Income tax.
