The image,cars,clothes,living is way more expensive to maintain out there as well.They do not get to keep all of that money unless they are the head broker and even then they have business expenses (assistants,marketing,etc.)

Have the father the attorney with the money put up a big non-refundable deposit and many months advance payment.I wouldn't care about the co-sign part of it as much as if he feels that confident he can pay for his kid upfront.If you have other options of course they may be more optimal.
