There were a tremendous amount of unneeded homes built leading up to the crash of 08' Sure this property isn't an income producing asset at the moment but if you had an interest in livestock farming you could definitely generate an income to live on/pay property taxes if the farm is already paid for.

I had a tenant who flew helicopter tours in Manhattan and they essentially had a crash pad for pilots when they needed a local place to stay, I believe it was rented from the company and pilots could pay if they needed to use it.
