I'm planning on making it active with a broker in the next few weeks.Right now I work as a Senior Account Manager for a large chemical company but my plans are to quickly transition my career to a real estate focus.

That is how I got started and it really jump started my investing career.

They are a FANTASTIC firm (I started my career in public accounting there).  

I am currently in the IT field and my wife is self employed.

Mostly smart people in the field.  

It's actually where I gained a large amount of my investing knowledge, especially early on in my career.

I grew up in New York and worked in Manhattan most of my career for a fortune 50 company that maintained building systems and my accounts were in the financial district (American Express, Merrill Lynch, Chase, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Bank of NY, AIG Building) and I got to see first hand what 2007/08 did to people and that still scares me.

The other positive and more importantly at this stage of my career, I have someone with experience as a partner for the rehab portion of the project.Looking at it from the flipper's point of view, he gets some help with the initial investment, a $15k profit and quick exit strategy.  

There are tons of tax benefits associated with MFR and you can save tons throughout your investing career. 

Not all lenders offer this.You need someone in the lending field to confirm the above, but I believe those are three options.
