I think you need to protect yourself first and your plan sounds good.Next, I would contact the local Bar Association and file a complaint.

- Stop by construction sites and ask who is paying the bills- Go to high end restaurants/bars and make small talk.

I graduated May 2019 from law school and have taken the Texas Bar exam, awaiting my results.

There are so many reasons I wouldn't by a rental property (across from a bar, busy road, etc), but being by a church would be the least of my worries if everything else checks out. 

While it’s yet to be scene where this plays out long term as I have about tripled my renovation budget and will be offering a much nicer product it will feel good to know no ones going to be living with duck taped walls and floors that are caving in.While deadlines have slipped and delays are countless I am still pushing the crew to get done two units ASAP!

The crime rate is not too bad per Trulia but some units in the neighborhood do have some metal bars on windows.
