My recommendation is to purchase the max and consider getting additional coverage with an Umbrella policy.

A drug dealer is always easy to spot because they almost always spend an unusual amount of time on their phones outdoors smoking, and have just one too many random guests visiting them.Even though 99% of these people aren't too bright, theyre smart enough not to come back and realize that your motel is not a good place for them to stay.

@Josh Joly - great words of advice from @Kevin Hunter, @Scott Weaner, & @Seth Williams - also remember that as a landlord you'll need to factor in some good (scratch that) GREAT, "Umbrella" insurance . . . . just in case!

Additionally, if you use an umbrella policy to pay for damages it's likely your insurance company will drop you soon after and you'll have a very difficult time finding a new provider.

I justify the cost, by chalking it up to just the cost of being able to go on vacation any time we want, go any where we want, and enjoy the beautiful outdoors here in Colorado!
