He also is a professional so he uses primer when needed and knows how to edge and tape so the wood work still looks like wood when he leaves.  

Older house (1904) with Hardwood floors, original woodwork, French doors to Sunrooms on front of each, flaking paint on outside would need new siding or scrape/paint within a few years.

I am a woodworker/cabinet builder by trade and own a kitchen remodeling contract business in Southern California... but I haven't even filled out my profile yet!

Currently, I manage the field service and repair division for a woodworking machinery dealer.

I'm always building things for fun and consider myself a craftsman whether it's restoring a car, woodworking, etc. 

So when I see a kitchen renovation listed and it’s estimated at over 10,000 I think to myself, why am I going to go into debt to pay for someone else to do something I want to do over time and at my DIY cost (I’m skilled with tile and woodwork).

Now the question is should I have 3 mentors at one time because they are all coming out the woodworks now :)   I think I found my guy who is going to help me, and im going to start helping him as early as next week.

It seems like me if you try to sell it yourself that they will come out of the woodwork.
