No issue at all with just buying a multi (or any property) as purely an investment.Perhaps you're concerned with down payments.

I don't know if that would have been grandfathered, but it's dangerous so I change it for copper (short story: copper and aluminum expand/contact differently and over time their connections can weaken and result in a fire) The house I bought from 2001 was pure copper.

and lots of hot springs now on to RK as @Wayne Brooks  PURE FANTASY  now you can in some states bid with a deposit at sherrifs sales.. but the competition in 99% of the counties in the US is so keen that those kind of profit margins are simply not there. in CA its cash on the barrel head to buy one.

The average price per square foot for this same period rose to $384, up from $379But of course there are extremely luxurious neighborhoods or pockets within Tarzana but from a purely personal perspective Woodland Hills is more desirable based on the layout.
