The good news is the bank might postpone the foreclosure sale date if your friend initiates the short sale and you submit your offer right away.

The deal has been postponed due to a family emergency on the sellers behalf.

Hey @Benjie DeVera I think I'm going to postpone looking around directly in the downtown area for now, and try to look for better cash-flow investments in cities that are in southern California, but not as high in demand. 

It's a wait game and a lot of patience as the auctions keep on getting postponed. 

I feel that the foreclosure sale is a waste of time most properties are postponed or taken back buy the attorney for the bank.

I know in Mass, that they are auctioned off on the front steps of the property, and that often times these sales are postponed for various reasons.

I am finding that the longer the eviction ban in California is postponed, the more we are willing to sell our rental property and invest out of state.
