She ended up losing all of them in foreclosure and filing for bankruptcy. The damage from the housing crisis — a toxic combination of frenzied buying, rampant construction, predatory lending and investment excess — was extensive.

We do not have any of the same boards left and the manufacturer has discontinued the line so we can't just pull out the affected boards (besides, there would be no way we would have that many extra pieces; the total number of boards damaged is in excess of 150).The second reason why there is a difference in charges is because if we need to go through with Small Claims, we put ALL costs in there vs our original lower estimate (**after talking to a legal advisor, they said we should go with the full cost as long as we had estimates, invoices, etc to show how we came up with the dollar amount).

All my unit required was paint and cleaning.Loss of use was not covered under my renters policy since the unit was not occupied at the time of the fire and I had it under contract to sell.I was wondering if the association, owners, insurance company, or restoration company were liable for the excessive repair time?

Perhaps I missed it and would love to see where in the bill it states that capital gains must be used. https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/828/text#toc-H2CE36B67ACCC4F89BD0B2571450C0176The portion of an OZ fund interest attributable to any capital invested in excess of the qualified gain amount is not eligible for the OZ tax exemption.

I own one property (using it as a house hack) and am hopefully going to be closing on a duplex within the coming month (using the BRRR strategy to get my capital and hopefully a little excess back).

Whether you owe 50% or 100% on a property makes no difference if you can not afford the payments. Also keep in mind when you have excessive equity in a property and the markets turn it is your own cash that is at risk not the banks money.

To get this, if I can get it, I'd be paying more than those combined debts/liens, so hopefully the only ball they'll play is settling up from the excess foreclosure funds.

Something that's not mentioned on this forum much though- watch out for midwestern markets that cash flow well w/ respect to price:rent ratio, but have an excess of rental housing supply relative to the tenant pool.
