Currently I am looking to buy and hold for the long-term with the goal of being free and clear by the time I retire ~20 yrs. 

Over the past eight years, I have collaborated with hundreds of out-of-state investors, helping them find cash-flowing properties aligned with their financial goals. 

Im more a hands on learning definitely and as far as living in a unit i couldn't yet because its out of the kids school district  plus the limited space. but thats the goal, to buy a small air or inn to manage and run for work while still renting in our district and then looking to buy since we're renters again!

What's most important is what aligns with your goals and your investment thesis?

I see that I wasn't clear in my description of our current situation and our goals. 

I would not be doing long term financing on section 8 nor would I own any.. just my personal goals.

My goal is to make investors feel like they're a part of something bigger.

The goal is to put what I can into this and doing some homework into investment property as well, and as I begin to have some success I could slowly cut back on the night job.
