Is that the only asset class that you enjoy now?

Do you have any recommendations for real estate agents, contractors, or other resources in the area?

As a SFR investor for over 15 years I have been wrestling with this question in the past, because it feels like you should upgrade to "bigger".I know for sure that I would not enjoy the ownership experience that comes with a small 4F, because in Milwaukee that typically also means lower income tenants. 

I will also add that many independent travelers that do room rentals enjoy having their own fridge.To keep things kosher in shared spaces, my friend who runs PadSplit says every room comes with one colors or plates cups etc to ensure that guests are accountable for their own dishes.

However, what I would suggest based on your expertise as a contractor is going into a semi-fixer upper and make minor repairs to boost equity as well as savings.

You have to enjoy and reward yourself sometimes.

Real estate investing has become a true passion of mine because I love the idea of taking a run-down, neglected property and transforming it into a home where people can truly enjoy living.

My take on this discussion is this:Anyone can take whatever time and effort they want to argue that it doesn't / can't work (it does / can), or you can just do it and enjoy the benefits.It's not applicable to every situation - stop trying to force this square peg into a round hole.There's no "secrets", no "magic" to it.It's meant for situations where the way it works can help someone achieve their financial goals. 

Between the contractor that scammed me and the break in, this project has gone on for about five months longer than it should, and I have depleted my savings making the interest payments all the way up until I have zero money.
