I especially believe in this challenging RE environment that some realistic analysis is beneficial.  

I look at every single item in the pro forma and imagine that it is complete BS, and see if I can challenge it.

I have spent 20 years climbing the ladder working for global corporations and that tends to always keep you challenged. 

There is a organization called Mirror Indy who, IMO, has written a couple of great articles about the IHA challenges.
