Remember when I said all it requires is to not get greedy; some would see this and obsess on being at "only" 40% ownership now and completely ignore the fact of how all that math plays out in this.

If you are not a real estate professional and bonus depreciation is limited to 40% starting Jan 1, the tax benefits are going to be pretty minimal unless I am missing something. 

Aside from disclosures, which I think can sometimes hinder a purchase or a sale, it's a lot harder to play dumb as a seller when you are a licensed professional. 

My LLC did not come into play at all.

If things don't play out and I have the ability to go wherever I want, then absolutely this would be the plan.

Ultimately, it depends on whether you want to lock in gains now or play the long game.
