Too bad her assaulter wasn't a landlord who unknowingly had tenants illegally Airbnb maybe then they would have went after him.Oh and maybe you should update your little graph to include the Deblasio era....FYI the city does have a serious homeless problem.I couldnt find a graph that included 2016, but 14 and 15 on this graph show the same typical long term trend of declining crime in NYC.

Standard disclaimer of not being a lawyer, but with regulatory trends going more towards consumer protection, I could see this getting very sticky in court if anything happened where you weren't able to pay back a security deposit.
