There's 3 ways to make money with buy and holds1. cash flow2. appreciation (whether forced or passive)3. principle paydownFrom a cashflow perspective,  there's no doubt you can take that $200k and put it in other cheaper markets and get much higher returns.

@Joseph ShawI'm a big believer in the DRY principle (don't repeat yourself), and so I use quickbooks and only quickbooks for all of my cost accounting and cost tracking and reporting. 

I haven't studied the "hard" principles of what some would consider "good design."

I rarely resort to the courts and only do so when I know I can win or....it's the principle of the thing....and I just don't care about the costs.  

In the end of the day, it's not a "end of the world" debt but out of principle, I just don't want to pay it.
