I hired a general contractor to do a foundation replacement and several other smaller jobs on my house.

Like the title says I am looking for an honest, good quality contractor or handyman in the Appleton, WI or Fox Valley area. 

Own the property  or be licensed .

You most likely need a broker's license for this.

@Sam CravenAirBNB does not do a good job of the age check so unless you are getting a driver's license you are praying they did their due diligence.

You can become your own private lender and make loans to those you meet at REIAS and your the bank.. most states have a carve out for small investors IE no license required check your state.this of course is a broad 

I had been managing my 14 units and was tired of turning down request from my clients to manage their property so I got my brokers license and started a PM company.  

Any advice in terms of getting a real estate license or a property management license?  

I've heard stories of people getting burned by paying their contractors up front for work, so I'm definitely not doing that, but I'm curious what everyone on here is doing?

I just had newly installed closet shelves collapse on my tenants thanks to a poor contractor decision.
