Look at it like Murphy's law: if you don't buy it, something horrible will happen, if you do buy it, nothing will happen.

The biggest problems I’ve had is the kitchen smelling horrible after a family makes a large breakfast shortly before checkout.

Those are horrible returns, imo for all the risk.

If a tenant makes enough income to qualify for the rent and they can not save up the deposit money, they are absolutely horrible money managers.

I would ideally like to have assets in both markets but it seems through my current capabilities, I need to pick and choose one to double down on, sort of, instead of moving extremely slow in both areas...which I guess is not necessarily horrible. 

I hate stereotypes that peg women as some soft, fragile creature that needs to be protected from this big, bad and horrible world.

Squatters are not a problem in my area as far as I am aware, but I have read and heard some pretty horrible stories about squatters, the damage they cause and the problems getting rid of them. 

I am 52 years old and we have a pretty solid income right now, but my retirement fund is horrible... the plan for this home and any future homes is to provide me with a decent retirement income and later to give my youngest daughter who has some special needs a business she can run and keep an income from.
