I am just curious as to how some of you seasoned investors maintain health insurance for yourself and your families? 

Those who hold institutional notes are usually in a much better financial position, they have health insurance, disability coverage, tons of life insurance, cash reserves to pay for the oooops that come in life.

As long as it is safe and not a health hazard is my understanding of all you technically HAVE to do.

I appreciate any clinical pearls I can glean from more experienced investors.  

This includes asbestos, lead paint disclosures, structural defects, health hazards, electrical, plumbing.....there is a list.You'll be signing the seller's disclosures at settlement.
