The unit are huge 1 bed rooms with a huge hall leading to bath room. my thoughts are to shorten the hall way to use for bed room space then divide the one bed room into 2 in each unit. the basement is huge as well I see great potential to add even more value.

I've learned a well-rehabbed unit will attract interest from many types.Many middle-class renters are deathly afraid of any and every low-income neighborhood. 

Flower beds maintianed, freshly painted houses and other signs that some folks actually take pride in where they live.
